One of the simplest pleasures in life to me is reading the last page of a good book, closing it, and setting it aside. Then of course, moving on to the next book. I am a lover of books, I’d like to have my own personal library one day. Within the past year, some good books I’ve read or reread were Escape from Camp 14, The Shanghai Exile Diaries, and Battle Royale (That I can remember). More recently, I read and loved Of Mice and Men, A River Runs Through It, The Life of Pi, The Fault In Our Stars, and now I’m on libro tres of the Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy series. (I can go through good books pretty fast). These books, in their own special way, are simply remarkable. I just finished The Fault In Our Stars today, and I must say I am absolutely speechless. The story kept me reading and reading and I finished it in two or three days. It was so good that I went to the book store to buy John Green’s other work, Looking for Alaska, but I also saw the complete Hitchhiker’s Guide so I am resuming them. But back to TFIOS. This book is about two teenage cancer patients who fall in love, essentially. I’m not much into romance, let alone teenage romance, but this book was a “roller coaster that only heads up”. It really opens up questions about life, dying, love, and what its all for anyway. I strongly recommend this book. Anyway, the next books I plan to read after I finish the Hitchhiker’s Guide series are: The Great Train Robbery, Unbroken, The Da Vinci Code(!!!), Looking For Alaska, Sahara, and maybe attempt Moby Dick again. I enjoy reading lots of genres, as you can see.
Well, I have to go to sleep now. Semester tests tomorrow! ¡Arrivederci!
